SAFETY BLOOD COLLECTION/INFUSION SETS

This version of the product can be used for blood collection by assembling it with, for example, a HOLDEX® or VACUETTE® SAFELINK, or for infusion for up to 5 hours instead.

The VACUETTE^® safety blood collection set/ winged infusion set is a single-use, sterile butterfly needle that is bonded to a flexible tubing with a luer connector. These butterfly needles are used for blood collection or the short-term infusion of intravenous fluids.

The winged blood collection needle/butterfly needle is designed with a safety shield, which can be activated to cover the needle immediately following venipuncture to aid in the protection against accidental needlestick injuries. It also features a blue body that allows for a visual flash confirmation of a successful venipuncture.

The safety blood collection/ infusion set is also available pre-assembled with blood culture holder.
