VACUETTE® K3E K3EDTA tubes contain tri-potassium K3EDTA which blocks the coagulation cascade. Selected tubes are also available with transparent labels.
EDTA should not use for trace element testing e.g. lead.

The VACUETTE® K3 EDTA Blood Collection Tube is available with a pink top, a lavender top or white top blood tube and is used primarily in hematology and blood banking. The inner wall of blood bank tube is coated with spray-dried K3 EDTA additive which acts as an anticoagulant, binding calcium ions and interrupting the clotting cascade. K2 EDTA Blood Collection Tubes with Gel Separator and K2 EDTA Blood Collection Tubes are also available.
