VACUETTE® crossmatch tubes are ideal for crossmatching samples between the donor and recipient blood before transfusions. The crossmatch serum tubes contain a clotting activator that allows the crossmatch to be performed in the serum. The crossmatch EDTA tube, on the other hand, contains EDTA, which prevents the coagulation of whole blood for crossmatch samples.
