The screw top for our vented tissue culture flasks uses a special porous membrane. A porosity of 0.2 μm ensures a sterile barrier against contamination.
The internal surface of the pet membrane is coated with ptfe, making it hydrophobic and preventing any humidification of the inside of the cap by the medium. A high flow rate through the filter provides optimal gas exchange.
