Z DISCARD

VACUETTE® discard tubes are not intended for analytical purposes.

Discard tubes do not contain any additives, but are evacuated and sterile on the inside. If blood is drawn, for example with a (safety) blood collection set, it is recommendable to use a discard tube to displace any air in the tubing of the winged needle prior to filling other tubes. This helps prevent underfilling, which could influence critical valid test parameters. This is especially significant when using a VACUETTE® coagulation tube.
